This privacy policy (“Policy”) describes how NEWANCE INC (d/b/a NEWANCE) (“Company,” “We,” “Us”) collect, use and share personal information of users of the Company’s coaching tool (the “Coaching Tool”). The Coaching Tool is used to provide a service that aims to understand an employee’s personality traits and day-to-day influences as they work (the “Service”). The Service will involve: onboarding via a survey conducted on Newance App and/or Google Forms; communications via Newance App and/ or SMS; and access to an employees work calendar and calendar insights via Newance App and/or a calendar app called Google Calendar. You may use the Coaching Tool only if you are an employee of an eligible employer, and after you have downloaded, installed and completed onboarding via the Newance App.
WHAT WE COLLECT
We obtain personal information about you in a number of ways.
Information You Share With Us. We collect your name, email address, phone number, profile photo, employment details including job title, manager, work history, psychometric data, personal and professional objectives, emotional state, self-assessment of performance, Google Apps identifiers, Google Calendar event metadata, including times, titles and attendees, as well as other information you directly give us via Google Calendar and email.
We can automatically collect other information about you regarding your access to and use of the Service, including:
- An identifier that is unique to the device on which you install the software
- Operating system
- Location
- The model of your mobile device;
- Your Internet Protocol (IP) address;
- Domain name of your Internet service provider;
- Your geographic location;
- The Service areas that you visit and the date and time of your visits (for example, time spent on the Service, clicks, click paths, access time, active/engagement time and page views); and
- Information regarding your access to and use of the Service.
Information We Collect From Others. With your consent, we may collect information about you from other sources including information your manager shares with us. We may add this to information we collect from Whatsapp and SMS communications, email, Google Calendar and Google Forms.
USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
We will use your personal information in the following ways:
To operate, maintain, and improve our products, services and user experience.
To send you information including confirmations, “nudges”, technical notices, updates, security alerts, and support and administrative messages.
To respond to your comments and questions as part of the Coaching Tool.
To link or combine with other personal information we may obtain about you from your manager in order to be able to obtain a better understanding of your personality traits.
SHARING OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
Information can be disclosed to third parties in accordance with this Privacy Policy, subject to applicable law. Please note that a user can choose not to share certain information. Please see Choices Regarding Information below.
Third parties and service providers. We can use third parties or service providers to perform functions in connection with the Service. We can use third parties or service providers to perform any of the actions or activities allowed under this Privacy Policy.
During an emergency or in situations where we believe you have or are likely to cause harm to yourself or to others.

In order to comply with applicable laws or respond to lawful requests and legal processes.
We may also share aggregated and/or anonymized data with your employer for their own internal business uses and to help them understand the broader impact of your experiences.
